For my photo story I focused on a club called Indigo that is located in downtown State College on Penn State's campus. I chose to capture the atmosphere of a club in a unique way, and I think I reached my goal, successfully. 

 

For example, in my photo story, viewers can see a little bit into every aspect of the club. From a bouncer at the back door, patrons waiting to be served at the bar, special performances, the DJ, to a young woman sitting in the corner drawing. 

 

I captured a lot of interesting concepts and people in my photo story. Everyone I photographed had a story. The young woman who was sitting off in the corner drawing said she perferred to come to clubs to listen to music while drawing because it was relaxing. The young woman in front of the bar, standing in front of beer tank wearing a Mardi Gras mask said how she likes this position better than the bar because she doesn't have to memorize everyone's drink orders. 

 

This was a great project - probably my favorite of the whole year as a student of Will Yurman's.
